What would Jermain Greer say!
Makes me sad - as a male of the same generation I'm just going to have to work harder to amass the wealth it will take these days to get a bird, but at least I won't be under any false impressions, and will be able to act like a complete male cad & still sleep soundly! more…

And it became one...but I was under doctor's orders to rest and was given some magic tablets to sort my heart rate out (twas what made me faint)...it helped.
Not sure if I swooned but I hope I did...although it might have looked out of place in a tube station... more…

Apparently, or so my doctor told me the last time I keeled over, that young women in their late teens to mid twenties tend to faint the most as their blood pressure is a little lower than everyone else's.
Nowt to worry about too much m'dear - if medics haven't found anything wrong with you, then don't fret x more…

Thanks :-)
I think I have just been pushing my tired old bod too much lately. No proper holiday since March, a few exhausting experiences and not enough sleep...a recipe for a fainting fit perhaps?
I'll remember your advice. I still felt a bit faint this morning but it does help when I sit down so I shall remain in that more…

I know...I consider that to be a big bonus ;-)
Although now my colleagues keep checking up on me every five minutes to make sure I am not passed out behind my computer.
I'll remember to stay well clear of bridges, busy roads and rivers for a while though. more…

Hmmmmm... You need to take care of yourself, pet. I know that's stating the obvious somewhat, but I had a series of fainting fits when I was about 17, and it still happens sporadically for no really discernable reason.
It is rather alarming, but the most important thing to remember if it happens again, is get horizontal. I know it ma more…

Thanks, is exactly what I have planned for tonight. After my swim and sauna session, I am booked in for a Swedish massage. Then it will be homewards where the couch and my book are waiting for me. Hopefully followed by a good night's sleep...

I obviously don't know your personal circumstances Steeny, but it seems like you need to find a way to give your body at least rest, if not sleep.
Any time, day or night. Even a drink might be beneficial, as alcohol is a muscle relaxant. Anyhow, try to give yourself some dedicated quiet time to relax and recoup energy. more…

Not to worry, not to worry ;-)
Currently very much so deprived of sleep and both physically and emotionally drained. I go through good and bad sleeping weeks, this week has been a bad one. Come to think of it, the week before that was one as well.... more…
